Barbara Jean Persyne, 87, Hubbell

Barbara Jean Persyne, 87, former resident of Warren, Michigan, passed away on August 1, 2026, at Our Lady of Mercy in Hubbell, Michigan.

Barbara was born in Highland Park on December 18, 1938, a daughter of James and Mary Spendal.  She attended Hamtramck and Marquette High Schools.

                Together with her husband, they owned and operated Driscoll’s Steak House in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.

                She was married to Ronald Glenn Brisson, and later she was married to George Persyne.

                She was preceded in death by a son-Stephen Paul Brisson.                

                She is survived by: son-Ronald (Hannah) Brisson of Marquette; daughter-in-law-Kim Velo; 3 grandchildren- Crystal Murray, Stephen Bruno Brisson, and Katie Brisson; 3 beloved great-grandchildren-Angelina Murray, Christianna Murray, and Neveah Murray; and beloved nephews-Robert Bannan and Richard Bannan.

                At Barbara’s request, there will be no public services.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is assisting the family.
