Telephone Service Disruption at the Richland Hospital Due to Regional Fiber Outages
MEDIA ALERT: Telephone Service Disruption Due to Regional Fiber Outages
The following is a press release issued by the Richland Hospital
Richland Center, WI – We are currently experiencing a telephone service outage due to multiple fiber line cuts affecting Frontier/Verizon networks across the Upper Midwest.
According to Frontier Main Support, there are four confirmed fiber cuts between Madison, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Frontier’s outage map indicates widespread service disruptions across Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, and portions of Michigan and Illinois.
Repair crews have been dispatched to the four known outage locations; however, Frontier has not yet determined the full extent of the damage or whether additional fiber cuts may be involved. As a result, telephone services are expected to remain unavailable until repairs can be completed.
We are closely monitoring the situation and are in direct contact with Frontier for updates. Any new information regarding restoration efforts or expected service timelines will be shared as it becomes available.
We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding as network providers work to restore service.
