The Richland Hospital and Clinics, alongside local community response partners, recently completed a comprehensive functional Emergency Operations exercise to evaluate and refine its emergency response capabilities.

The exercise tested key operational areas including patient flow, resource allocation, real-time communications, and multi-agency coordination. Volunteer victim actors participated to create realistic clinical and operational scenarios for staff and first responders.

Hospital leadership operated under the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) throughout the event. Insights gathered from the exercise will be integrated into future safety planning and staff training programs to ensure continued community resilience.
