The Milwaukee Brewers showed again why they are known as the “Comeback Crew.”

The Brewers overcame a 4-0 lead in the first inning to beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 5-4, in Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday, Oct. 24, driving the series lead to 2-0.

Following an error from rookie shortstop Cooper Pratt in the first, the Rays drove in four runs. But there was an atonement for Pratt, who drove in the go-ahead run in the seventh.

Outfielder Sal Frelick tied the game in sixth when he blasted a solo home run to center, which is very uncharacteristic of the utility player, but the World Series creates legends.

Frelick finished the game 2-for-4 with a home run and RBI. Pratt was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Catcher William Contreras finished 2-for-4 with an RBI. And outfielder Jackson Chourio was 2-for-5.

Starting pitcher Logan Henderson struggled in the first but settled down. He gave up three hits and three earned runs with four strikeouts in three innings. The Brewers bullpen once again did their job holding the Rays scoreless.

The Brewers have seven comeback victories in 10 games this postseason.

The next three games, if needed, of the World Series will take place in St. Petersburg. Game 3 is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m.
