RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- An 11-year-old North Fond du Lac girl died at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee Wednesday following a single vehicle accident in Fond du Lac County.
Sheriff’s officials say the girl was one of three passengers in a minivan that was heading north on County Highway V. It lost control, crossed the centerline, entered a ditch where it struck an embankment and went airborne. The minivan overturned several times coming to rest in the same ditch.
The driver, a 29-year-old Fond du Lac man, and two passengers, an 8-year-old Fond du Lac boy and 15-year-old Campbellsport girl, were taken to SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac with minor injuries.
The North Fond du Lac girl was flown to Children’s Hospital where she died. The accident on County Highway V near Lime Road in the Town of Eden was reported at 3:09 Wednesday afternoon.
