RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Police in Fond du Lac are investigating the shooting death of a 22-year-old Fond du Lac man.
Police and Fire and Rescue responded to the 800 block of South Main Street shortly after 4:30 this morning. Sheriff’s deputies assisted officers in locating three people in a parking area adjacent to the street.
The victim was found with a gunshot wound and died at the scene. A 26-year-old Fond du Lac man was identified as a person of interest. A 21-year-old Fond du Lac woman and the person of interest cooperated with officers and detectives in the investigation.
Police believe the incident was isolated involving individuals who were known to one another.
The investigation remains active.
