Kamala Harris and David Crowley launch canvassers on Milwaukee’s northwest side
With eight days to go until Election Day, former Vice President Kamala Harris is in Milwaukee on Monday, Oct. 26, to campaign with Democratic nominee for Wisconsin governor David Crowley.
The 2024 Democratic presidential nominee and the Milwaukee County Executive traveled to the Democratic Party of Wisconsin office on Milwaukee’s northwest side to launch canvassers ahead of a rally and town hall later in the evening.
“You know him better than most. By character, by conduct, his experience, his passion, his sense of purpose. He’s the kind of elected leader that we so desperately need in these most powerful positions,” Harris said of Crowley.
“This election in Wisconsin is as much as anything about the kind of character and leadership that the people so rightly deserve.
“This election is also about the work that you are doing in an environment where we are witnessing such brutality from so-called leaders.”

Harris criticized Crowley’s opponent, Republican Congressman Tom Tiffany, and her 2024 opponent, President Donald Trump for cutting billions of dollars from Medicaid and SNAP.
She also said the outcome of the election is so important nationally as Republicans have moved to question the results of elections.
“We are now in an era where we have seen that governors may refuse to certify an election to cheat,” Harris said.
Harris hasn't made a decision on if she'll decide to run for the presidency again in the next election cycle.
Crowley rallied his supporters, who cheered and jeered, throughout the short speeches. Harris and Crowley had to head to a rally aimed toward women voters. And Harris is hosting a town hall later this evening with the NAACP.
“She’s a huge mentor of mine. My wife loves her,” Crowley said of Harris.

“I want you to know that in the next eight days, I am laying it all out on the field. And I have a track record, not only delivering for Milwaukee County but delivering for communities all across the state of Wisconsin. And in order to do those things, we had to bring people to the table.
“I’m in this fight for my family, for your family, for the entire future of Wisconsin. We have to do everything we can to defeat Tom Tiffany, because in the past 15 years, this is the best chance that we’ve had.”
Early voting is underway in Wisconsin. Election Day is Nov. 3.
