In a historic moment for Wisconsin sports, Governor Tony Evers has officially declared Friday, October 30, as “Brewers ‘Won Our Way’ Day” across the state. The proclamation comes in celebration of the Milwaukee Brewers securing their first-ever World Series Championship title, capping off an extraordinary and record-breaking postseason run that captured the hearts of fans statewide.

The championship victory marks the culmination of a landmark 57th season in Milwaukee. The Brewers set a franchise record with 103 regular season wins, captured their fourth consecutive NL Central title, and secured the top seed in Major League Baseball. Carrying that momentum into October, the team registered 11 postseason victories, swept the NLCS, and tied Major League postseason records for consecutive wins and come-from-behind victories.

Governor Evers highlighted the immense pride shared by Wisconsinites, praising manager Pat Murphy, the coaching staff, and the players for their relentless determination. Beyond the emotional impact, state officials noted the team’s vital role in Wisconsin’s cultural heritage and economic vitality, bolstered by recent bipartisan legislation ensuring the Brewers remain in Milwaukee through at least 2050.
